Samsung in their Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event took the lead in 5G, Super Zoom Cameras as well as 8K Video recordings and more all in one handheld device. The event which took place in San Francisco set a whole lot of standards for phones in 2020.
Samsung which happens to sell the most smartphones today always goes first in the year to unveil its new flagship phones. The event amongst many other revelations saw the launch of Samsung’s second attempt at flip phone (Galaxy Z Flip) together with the S20 Family (S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra).
Now before we dive into details, you might be wondering why Samsung jumped from S10 and S10 Plus to these three S20s instead of S11 everyone would imagine. The 20 in S20 refers to 2020. Samsung decided to swap from version numbers to years. All of the phone-makers take liberties in the numbers they use to name their products, but this move makes Samsung one of the first to tie the product name to the year, which has some practical appeal.
Another amazing feature is that unlike the last flagship S10s, Samsung had a single phone with the S10s 5G enabled. This year, all three S20s are 5G enabled and have 8K video recording at 24 fps (frames per second) with super speed and Super Slow-Mo 720p video support.
Now, let us take a look at each of the models with some interesting features and functionality, and we start with the Galaxy Z Flip. The Z Flip comes in three different colours – Mirror Purple, Mirror Black and Mirror Gold. The 73.6 x 167.3 x 7.2mm in dimensions when unfolded and: 73.6 x 87.4 x 17.3mm when folded comes with a Main display Screen of 6.7” FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Display.
